While they are made to be more bold, they can very easily be made softer with some quick adjustments!
These are created to help you achieve more of that creamy look! The "creamy" look can be enhanced more by sliders and brushing as well (covered in the tutorial video). I do use Portraiture on my work to help create the creaminess. But the above before/after examples do not have any portraiture or brushing applied.
While I personally shoot Canon, these were made by using a huge variety of images from all different cameras (Canon, Nikon, and Sony). So within the packs there are different tone options to help work with multiple camera bodies/profiles.
